Good Morning, Believer! Good Morning to the four corners of your Life! The Servant of God, Abraham Richard, teaches that when we read the Word of God, we must receive it with our hearts, because only then will it produce the Will of God in us. The Word must rule your heart in order for you to do God’s Will.
Let us meditate on His Word this morning so we may understand His Will for our lives today.
Point of Meditation: The Word of God in My Heart
Scripture Reference: Saint Matthew chapter 21 verse 18–19 and verse 43–44, Proverbs chapter 4 verse 23, Galatians chapter 5 verse 22–23
The Word of God must rule your heart, because life itself flows from the heart. As a Christian, if the Word is not ruling your heart, you must examine your heart to discover what is blocking it. What could block your heart to receive the Word of God? Unforgiveness, rage, anger, offense, greed, past wounds, jealousy, envy, and dissatisfaction.
With this understanding, let us turn to the Bible to find out what it says about the heart. Proverbs chapter 4 verse 23 declares: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
It is the Word of God in your heart that carries the Power to change you. You may ask: How can I open my heart to receive God’s Word? The answer is simple-have a free heart. When you have a free heart, the HolySpirit will be in you and you will be able to bear fruit.
In Saint Matthew chapter 21 verse 19, we see how important it is to bear fruit. Christ Jesus curses the fig tree because it bore no fruit. This tree represents every Christian. It is a powerful lesson: we must be fruitful in every season of our lives.
The only way to bear fruit is by allowing the HolySpirit to rest in you freely. When the Spirit is in you, allow Him to move and use you as He pleases. If you do not bear the fruit of the Spirit, you risk being cast out of the Kingdom.
What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit?Apostle Paul shares them in Galatians chapter 5 verse 22–23: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are the fruits we are called to produce.
But be vigilant. As you walk in the Spirit, the devil and his agents will do everything possible to provoke offense, anger, and other destructive evil spirits. Be careful when you are offended. Remember there things and issues that are bound to cause us offense daily.
However, blessed is the one who lets go—for the sake of God. Child of God, saying “I’m sorry” and choosing to let go is not a sign of weakness. It is a strong message you are sending to God that you desire to be His child.
Christ Jesus says: “Forgive them, love them, care for them.” The devil says: “Hold the grudge, do not forgive, do not love.” But we advise you: Choose the path of Christ Jesus—because it leads to eternal life.
